I’m Eric Labaupa, and I’m running for School Trustee in Ward 3 of the Pembina Trails School Division.

I’m running because I believe a School Trustee should be accessible, engaged, and willing to listen. Our schools are an important part of our community, and the decisions made at the board table should always be guided by what best serves our students, families, and schools.

One initiative I am especially passionate about is advocating for a Swimming for Life – Learn to Swim & Water Safety Program for younger students in Pembina Trails. I want to work with families, educators, and my fellow trustees to explore how we can make this important life skill education accessible to our students.

While Swimming for Life is an initiative I strongly believe in, being a School Trustee means representing our community on the many issues that affect our schools.

I want to listen. I want to ask questions. I want to make informed and responsible decisions. And I want the families of Ward 3 to know they have a representative at the board table who is willing to hear their concerns, consider different perspectives, and advocate for the students and communities we serve.
